Fonctions : L'Autorité centrale fédérale est l'autorité centrale à laquelle toute communication peut être adressée pour transmission à l'Autorité centrale appropriée au Canada. L'Autorité centrale fédérale aidera les parties contractantes à localiser une personne au Canada si la province ou le territoire canadien de résidence de la personne est inconnu. Si l'emplacement de la partie au Canada est connu, les communications doivent être adressées à l'Autorité centrale de la province ou du territoire où la partie réside. L'Autorité centrale fédérale ne traitera pas les demandes au titre de l'article 10. Toutes les demandes au titre de l'article 10 doivent être transmises directement à l'Autorité centrale provinciale ou territoriale competente.
