Monaco joins the 2000 Hague Protection of Adults Convention

On Friday 4 March 2016, Monaco deposited its instrument of ratification to the Hague Convention of 13 January 2000 on International Protection of Adults and thus became the 9th Contracting State to this Convention. The Convention will enter into force for Monaco on 1 July 2016. Monaco is now a Contracting State to 8 Conventions of the Hague Conference on Private International Law.

At the ceremony, which took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, the Embassy of Monaco was represented by H.E. Madam Sophie Thévenoux, Ambassador, and Mr Christophe Crovetto, Counsellor. Secretary General Christophe Bernasconi represented the Permanent Bureau of the Hague Conference.
