The Convention had been extended by the United Kingdom to the territories mentioned below on 20 May 1970 (entry into force on 19 July 1970). These countries achieved independence and have made no declaration on the continuation in force of the Convention, unless stated otherwise:

Antigua (this country achieved independence and declared that it considers itself bound by the Convention)
British Honduras (since 21 September 1981: Belize)
British Solomon Islands Protectorate (since 7 July 1978: the Solomon Islands)
Central and Southern Line Islands (since 12 July 1979: Kiribati)
Fiji (since 10 October 1970 independent)
Gilbert and Ellice Islands Colony (became respectively Kiribati (12 July 1979) and Tuvalu (1 October 1978))
St. Lucia (since 22 February 1972 independent)
St. Vincent (since 27 October 1979: St. Vincent and the Grenadines; this country declared that it considers itself bound by the Convention)
Seychelles (this country achieved independence and acceded to the Convention)

The Convention had been extended by the United Kingdom to St. Christopher and Nevis (since 19 September 1983: St. Kitts and Nevis) on 2 March 1983 (entry into force on 1 May 1983). No declaration has been made on the continuation in force of the Convention.
