In accordance with Article 44 (3) and Article 62 of the Convention, the Republic of Moldova objects to the use of the French language in communications between its Central Authority and the Central Authority of any other Contracting State.

1. The scope of Chapters II and III of the Convention extends to maintenance obligations between spouses in accordance with Article 2(3) of the Convention.
2. Any application other than those submitted under Article 10(1)(a) and Article 10(2)(a) of the Convention must include the following documents, prepared in two copies and duly certified, in accordance with Article 11(1)(g) of the Convention:
a) power of attorney granted by the applicant to the Central Authority of the requested State;
b) certified copy of the marriage or divorce certificate, as applicable;
c) certified copy of the child's birth certificate.
For adults without income, the following additional documents must be provided:
d) certificate of monthly income and/or pension statement;
e) other supporting documents proving the disadvantaged status of the person (school certificates, medical certificates for people with disabilities, etc.);
f) photographs of the creditor and the debtor, where possible;
g) any other additional documents requested by the court.
