Third meeting of the Working Group dedicated to the Good Practices document relevant to the 1965 Service, 1970 Evidence, and 1980 Access to Justice Conventions
On 1 December 2025, the third meeting of the Working Group established to finalise the Good Practices document relevant to the 1965 Service, 1970 Evidence, and 1980 Access to Justice Conventions (WG) was held online, hosted by the Permanent Bureau (PB) of the HCCH. The meeting had close to 30 registered delegates representing 17 HCCH Members, in addition to members of the PB.
Pursuant to its mandate (C&D No 47 of CGAP 2025), the WG finalised the Good Practices document, designed to enhance the practical operation of the Conventions. The Good Practices document will apply to those involved in the preparation, transmission, and execution of requests for cooperation. It will include measures to strengthen effective cross-border cooperation, including by streamlining procedures and encouraging the use of information technology.
The draft Good Practices document will be submitted to the Council on General Affairs and Policy of the HCCH for approval in March 2026.
