On 12 August 2016, the Permanent Bureau was informed that on 25 July 2016, Kyrgyzstan deposited its instrument of accession to the Hague Convention of 29 May 1993 on Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption and thus became the 97th Contracting State to this Convention.
