<title>2007 Child Support Convention enters into force for Kyrgyzstan</title>
<description>On 1 November 2024, the Convention of 23 November 2007 on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance&amp;nbsp;(2007 Child Support Convention) &amp;nbsp;entered into force for the Kyrgyz Republic following the deposit of its instrument of accession on 27 October 2023.
At present, 52 States and the European Union are bound by the 2007 Child Support Convention.&amp;nbsp;More information on this Convention is available on the Child Support Section of the HCCH website.

<description>The Permanent Bureau has been informed that, on 27 October 2023, Canada deposited its instrument of ratification of, and the Kyrgyz Republic its instrument of accession to, the Convention of 23 November 2007 on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance (2007 Child Support Convention).

<title>Kyrgyzstan accedes to the 1993 Hague Convention on Intercountry Adoption</title>
<description>On 12 August 2016, the Permanent Bureau was informed that on 25 July 2016, Kyrgyzstan deposited its instrument of accession to the Hague Convention of 29 May 1993 on Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption and thus became the 97th Contracting State to this Convention. The Convention will enter into force for Kyrgyzstan on 1 November 2016.
