Child Protection Convention enters into force for Paraguay
On 1 July 2019, the HCCH Convention of 19 October 1996 on Jurisdiction, Applicable Law, Recognition, Enforcement and Co-operation in Respect of Parental Responsibility and Measures for the Protection of Children (“Child Protection Convention”) entered into force for Paraguay, following the deposit of its instrument of accession on 12 September 2018. The Child Protection Convention currently has 51 Contracting Parties.

Paraguay has been a HCCH Member since 2005 and is currently party to three other HCCH instruments.
