Second meeting of the Working Group dedicated to the Model Forms for Chapter II of the 1970 Evidence Convention
On 26 September 2025, the second meeting of the Working Group (WG) established to finalise the Model Forms pertaining to Chapter II of the 1970 Evidence Convention was held online, hosted by the Permanent Bureau (PB). The meeting had 50 registered delegates and other experts, representing 24 HCCH Members and one Observer, in addition to members of the PB.
Pursuant to its mandate (C&D No 50 of CGAP 2025), the WG discussed the updated version of the Model Form for requests for permission to take evidence made under Chapter II, incorporating amendments and suggestions made during the first WG meeting. The WG also considered the Model Forms for the authorisation of requests and for requesting video-link assistance, as well as the draft Guidelines for completing the Model Form for requests for permission.
