100 years Nobel Peace Prize Tobias Asser

On 10 December 1911 Tobias M.C. Asser (1838-1913) received the Nobel Peace Prize. Tobias Asser took the initiative for the Hague Conference on Private International Law, and presided over its first four sessions (1893, 1894, 1900 and 1904). To commemorate this event, a conference took place on 9 December 2011 in the Peace Palace in The Hague.
