Switzerland becomes 50th State Party to the Intercountry Adoption Convention.
On 24 September 2002, Switzerland deposited its instrument of ratification to the Hague Convention of 29 May 1993 on Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption, thus bringing the total number of Contracting States to fifty. The Convention will enter into force for Switzerland on 1 January 2003....
