Ukraine joins the Hague Conference

Ukraine officially became a Member of the Hague Conference on Private International Law on Wednesday 3 December 2003. It was on this day that the instrument of acceptance of the Statute of the Hague Conference on Private International Law was deposited at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.
Ukraine thus becomes the sixty-fourth Member of the Hague Conference. Ukraine is already a Party to the following Hague Conventions: the Convention of 1 March 1954 relating to civil procedure, the Convention of 5 October 1961 Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents, the Convention of 15 November 1965 on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters, and the Convention 18 March 1970 on the Taking of Evidence Abroad in Civil or Commercial Matters.
