On 16 December 1964, the Convention had been extended to Antigua by the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
By a Note dated 1 May 1985 the Government of Antigua and Barbuda informed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that it does consider itself bound by the Convention. The date of entry into force is the date of independence of this State.
