<title>The Philippines accedes to the 1970 Evidence Convention</title>
<description>On 6 May 2025, the Republic of the Philippines deposited its instrument of accession to the Convention of 18 March 1970 on the Taking of Evidence Abroad in Civil or Commercial Matters (1970 Evidence Convention).
With the accession of the Philippines, the 1970 Evidence Convention now has 68 Contracting Parties. It will enter into force for the Philippines on 5 July 2025. More information on this Convention is available on the Evidence Section of the HCCH website.

<description>Tomorrow, 1 October 2022, the Convention of 23 November 2007 on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance (2007 Child Support Convention) will enter into force for the Republic of the Philippines following the deposit of its instrument of ratification on 22 June 2022.

<description>On 14 May 2019, the&amp;nbsp;HCCH Convention of 5 October 1961 Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents&amp;nbsp;(Apostille Convention) entered into force for Philippines, following the deposit of its instrument of accession on 12 September 2018. The Apostille Convention currently has 117 Contracting Parties.
