<title>2005 Choice of Court Convention enters into force for Monaco</title>
<description>On 1 March 2026, the Convention of 30 June 2005 on Choice of Court Agreements (2005 Choice of Court Convention) entered into force for the Principality of Monaco following the deposit of its instrument of accession on 27 November 2025.
At present, 38 States and the European Union are bound by the 2005 Choice of Court Convention.&amp;nbsp;More information on this Convention is available on the Choice of Court Section of the HCCH website.

<title>Monaco joins the 2000 Hague Protection of Adults Convention</title>
<description>On Friday 4 March 2016, Monaco deposited its instrument of ratification to the Hague Convention of 13 January 2000 on International Protection of Adults and thus became the 9th Contracting State to this Convention. The Convention will enter into force for Monaco on 1 July 2016. Monaco is now a Contracting State to 8 Conventions of the Hague Conference on Private International Law.
