<title>Ireland ratifies the 2000 Protection of Adults Convention</title>
<description>The Permanent Bureau has been informed that, on 31 May 2024, Ireland deposited its instrument of ratification of the Convention of 13 January 2000 on the International Protection of Adults (2000 Protection of Adults Convention).
With the ratification of Ireland, the 2000 Protection of Adults Convention now has 16 Contracting Parties. It will enter into force for Ireland on 1 September 2024. More information on this Convention is available on the Protection of Adults Section of the HCCH website.
Ireland has been a Member of the HCCH since 1955 and is now a Contracting Party to 11 HCCH..</description>

<title> Update Hague Family Law Conventions</title>
<description>The Hague Convention of 19 October 1996 on Jurisdiction, Applicable Law, Recognition, Enforcement and Co-operation in Respect of Parental Responsibility and Measures for the Protection of Children&amp;nbsp;was recently ratified by&amp;nbsp;various EU Member States, namely: Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, Romania and&amp;nbsp;Spain.
