<description>Today, 1 November 2022, the Convention of 13 January 2000 on the International Protection of Adults (2000 Protection of Adults Convention) entered into force for the Hellenic Republic following the deposit of its instrument of ratification on 28 July 2022.
The 2000 Protection of Adults Convention currently has 14 Contracting Parties. More information on this Convention is available on the Protection of Adults Section of the HCCH website.

<title> 34 Contracting States for the 1996 Hague Protection of Children Convention</title>
<description>On Tuesday 7 February 2012, Greece deposited its instrument of ratification of the Hague Convention of 19 October 1996 on Jurisdiction, Applicable Law, Recognition, Enforcement and Co-operation in Respect of Parental Responsibility and Measures for the Protection of Children and thus became the 34th Contracting State. The instrument of ratification was accompanied by a declaration and the designation of a Central Authority. The Convention will enter into force for Greece on 1 June 2012.
