<description>On 1&amp;nbsp;November&amp;nbsp;2018, the&amp;nbsp;Hague Convention of 13 January 2000 on the International Protection of Adults (hereinafter &amp;ldquo;the 2000 Protection of Adults Convention&amp;rdquo;) entered into force for&amp;nbsp;Cyprus, following the signature on 1 April 2009, and deposit of its instrument of&amp;nbsp;ratification on&amp;nbsp;4 July 2018.&amp;nbsp;The 2000 Protection of Adults Convention&amp;nbsp;currently&amp;nbsp;has 12 Contracting Parties.&amp;nbsp;More information is available on the Protection of Adults Section of the Hague Conference website.

<title>Cyprus ratifies the Adults Convention</title>
<description>On&amp;nbsp;9&amp;nbsp;July 2018, the Permanent Bureau was informed that Cyprus had deposited its instrument of ratification to the Hague Convention of 13 January 2000 on the International Protection of Adults (Adults Convention) on 4 July 2018. With the ratification of Cyprus, the Adults Convention now has 12 Contracting Parties. The Adults Convention will enter into force for Cyprus on 1 November 2018.

<title>Belarus signs the 2007 Hague Convention on Child Support ; the Republic of Cyprus ratifies the 1985 Hague Trusts Convention</title>
<description>On 15 March 2017, during the meeting of the Council on General Affairs and Policy of the Hague Conference, Belarus signed the Hague Convention of 23 November 2007 on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance. Belarus was represented by the Minister of Justice, H.E. Mr. Oleg L. Slizhevsky. With the signature of Belarus, the Convention now has 37 States and REIOs which have signed, ratified or acceded to the instrument.
