<description>On 1 October 2025, the Convention of 29 May 1993 on Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption (1993 Adoption Convention) entered into force for the Republic of Korea following the deposit of its instrument of ratification on 17 June 2025.
