<title>The 2007 Child Support Convention enters into force for Azerbaijan</title>
<description>Today, 28 February 2024, the Convention of 23 November 2007 on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance (2007 Child Support Convention) entered into force for the Republic of Azerbaijan following the deposit of its instrument of accession on 17 February 2023.
At present, 49 States and the European Union are bound by the 2007 Child Support Convention. More information on this Convention is available on the Child Support Section of the HCCH website.

<description>The Permanent Bureau has been informed that on 17 February 2023 the Republic of Azerbaijan deposited its instrument of accession to the Convention of 15 November 1965 on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters (1965 Service Convention) and the Convention of 23 November 2007 on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance (2007 Child Support Convention).
With the accession of Azerbaijan, the 1965 Service Convention now has 80 Contracting Parties. It will enter into force for Azerbaijan on 1 September 2023,..</description>

On Tuesday 29 July 2014, the Republic of Azerbaijan deposited its 
instrument of acceptance of the Statute of the Hague Conference, and 
thus became the Conference&amp;#39;s 77th Member. 
The following Hague Conventions are already in force for Azerbaijan:
Convention of 5 October 1961 Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents (the &amp;quot;Apostille Convention&amp;quot;);

<description>On 12 September 2013, the Secretary General of the Hague Conference on Private International Law formally opened the six month period for existing Members to vote on the proposal of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs to admit the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Singapore as new Members of the Organisation.
