<title>Service Convention enters into force for Austria</title>
<description>On 12 September 2020, the&amp;nbsp;Convention of 15 November 1965 on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters&amp;nbsp;(HCCH Service Convention)&amp;nbsp;entered into force for Austria following the deposit of its instrument of ratification on 14 July 2020. The HCCH Service Convention currently has 78 Contracting Parties.&amp;nbsp;
Austria is a Member of the HCCH (since 1955) and currently party to 14 other HCCH Conventions and one Protocol.&amp;nbsp;

<description>On 14 July 2020, Austria deposited its instruments of ratification to the Convention of 15 November 1965 on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters&amp;nbsp;(Service Convention).&amp;nbsp;

<description>On 22 November 2019, Austria signed the&amp;nbsp;HCCH Convention of 15 November 1965 on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters&amp;nbsp;(Service Convention).

<description>On Wednesday 9 October 2013, the Ambassador of Austria in the Netherlands, Dr Werner Druml, deposited on behalf of Austria the instrument of ratification of the Hague Convention of 13 January 2000 on the International Protection of Adults (&quot;2000 Protection of Adults Convention&quot;). Austria is the eighth Contracting State to join the 2000 Protection of Adults Convention, which came into force on 1 January 2009.
