As of 1 October 2026, Lithuanian notaries also issue electronic Apostilles. From this date, the authenticity of both paper and electronic Apostilles issued by Lithuanian notaries can be verified through the electronic Apostille Register at https://www.enotaras.lt/ by entering the unique Apostille code and the date of issuance, or by scanning the QR code displayed on the Apostille. Apostilles issued by Lithuanian notaries before 1 October 2026 cannot be verified through the new electronic Apostille Register. To verify the authenticity of such an Apostille, the issuing notary should be contacted directly and provided with a copy of the Apostille.
