Just published: the Portuguese translation of the General Principles for Judicial Communications

The Permanent Bureau is pleased to announce the recent publication of the Portuguese translation of Direct Judicial Communications – Emerging Guidance regarding the development of the International Hague Network of Judges and General Principles for Judicial Communications, including commonly accepted safeguards for Direct Judicial Communications in specific cases, within the context of the International Hague Network of Judges. The Permanent Bureau is very grateful to Justice António José Fialho and Justice Mônica Jacqueline Sifuentes Pacheco de Medeiros, Members of the International Hague Network of Judges for Portugal and Brazil, respectively, for their very generous assistance in preparing the Portuguese translation of the General Principles on a pro bono basis. The General Principles for Judicial Communications are a work in progress. Comments or suggestions from States, interested organisations, or judges, especially members of the International Hague Network of Judges, on how to improve them are always welcome.
