Methods of service
(Art. 5(1)(2)):

The receiving Central Authoriy sends the request to the local Bailiff (Ufficio Unico Ufficiali Giudiziari existing in the local Tribunale or Court of Appeal).Then the service is excuted by the Bailiff as provided by art. 139 of the code of civil procedure or by postal service according to law n. 890/1982.

Translation requirements
(Art. 5(3)):

 

The Central Authority does not require the documents to be served to be in or translated into Italian.

 

Costs relating to execution of the request for service
(Art. 12):

No costs are being requested to be reimbursed.

Time for execution of request: One or two months sometimes more.
